In the 5:00 P.M. slot, things were very tight early on on Court 1 between the Winona State team and the UST #1 team as both squads battled to a 19-all deadlock by the end of the first period.  The UST #1 team was able to open up some space on its opponent midway through the second period up 34-26 and although the Winona State team was able to close the gap to four points at 34-30 a short time later, two three-point bombs by junior-to-be McKenna DuBois - including one right before the halftime buzzer - had the UST #1 team up 42-32 at intermission.  To their credit, the Winona State team picked up the pace in the third period and climbed back to within a single possession trailing 48-46 before a "3" by junior-to-be Lucia Renikoff helped give the UST #1 team a bit more breathing room up 51-46 going into the fourth period.  The Winona State team again managed to battle back to get things close trailing 54-51 early in the fourth period but the UST #1 team closed the door from then on to hang on for a tough win.  Over on Court 2, the Augsburg team built a 10-2 lead by the end of the first period but the SMU team recovered from its early shooting slump to go on a 5-0 push early in the second period that had them right in the thick of things trailing 10-7 and the Augsburg team wasn't able to get much more separation by the halftime break up 17-13.  The Augsburg team was finally able to create a bigger cushion once the third period got underway and they were up double-digits at 35-23 once things progressed into the fourth period.  The SMU team had one last push left in them, however, and they closed the gap to four points at 45-41 late in the contest but they could never get closer.

In the 5:55 P.M. slot, the Winona State team; again doing double-duty on Court 1, got out to an 8-3 lead on the St. Olaf team but the St. Olaf team managed to recover from that early deficit and a three-point bomb by sophomore-to-be Kelsie Gerovac helped the effort as the St. Olaf team was within a single possession trailing 12-10 by the end of the first period.  The Winona State team stretched its lead to seven points at 18-11 midway through the second period but another three-point bomb - this one by junior-to-be Meg Anderson from the right wing - had the St. Olaf team close again trailing 18-14 and they were still right in the thick of things trailing 25-20 by the halftime break.  The St. Olaf team was down only five points midway through the third period trailing 29-24 but things started falling apart short thereafter as the Winona State team upped the lead to 35-28 by the end of the third period and they pushed that lead to 41-28 midway through the fourth period.  A "3" by newcomer and former Eastview standout Allie Pickrain pushed the lead to 44-28 and effectively dashed any hopes the St. Olaf may have had.  Over on Court 2, the UST #2 team was clinging to a 6-5 lead midway through the first period on the Luther team but the UST #2 team managed to go on a 10-3 run down the stretch of the opening period to hold a 16-8 lead once the second period got underway.  The Luther team managed to trim the deficit down to four points on a "3" by senior-to-be Grayson Schroeder right before the halftime buzzer as they trailed 22-18 and they were still right in the thick of things down by only five at 28-23 midway through the third period but things started slowly falling apart after that as the UST #2 team built the lead back up to eight points at 35-27 by the end of the third period.  The UST #2 team increased its lead to 43-28 midway through the fourth period and was able to coast from there.

In the 6:50 P.M. slot, the Bethel team was slowly carving out a 7-4 lead on the UW-River Falls #1 team and they were able to increase that lead to 14-7 by the end of the first period.  The Bethel team soon found themselves up 22-9 midway through the second period and although the UW-River Falls team had the deficit down to ten points at 30-20 by the halftime break, things quickly went downhill from there as the Bethel team had the lead up to 37-23 midway through the third period and ballooned the lead to 55-28 once the fourth period got underway and they rolled from there.  A much closer battle was ensuing over on Court 2 between the GAC Black team and the Southwest Minnesota State team as the GAC Black team clung to a 10-9 lead midway through the first period and was up 18-16 once the second period got underway.  But the Southwest Minnesota State team was able to turn things around in the second period as they assumed a 25-21 midway through and held a 29-23 lead by the half.  Some hot three-point shooting by this Southwest Minnesota State team helped stretch the lead to 46-33 by the end of the third period and they bolstered that hot perimeter work with some timely transition points as well to garner the ten-point victory.

A busy time with three games going on in the 7:45 P.M. slot.  On Court 1, the wily veteran Retirees team got out to an 8-2 lead on the GAC Gold team midway through the first period and a "3" by 2014 Northwestern grad Chanel Madson had the Retirees team in good shape up 17-7 midway through the second period and with a 29-11 lead by the halftime break, things were looking very good for the Retirees team.  When 2014 Northwestern grad sharpshooter Mollie (Sir) Lingo drained a "3" in the third period to push the Retirees team lead up to 32-14, things looked quite bleak indeed for the GAC Gold team.  But the Retirees team likely didn't count on an incredible performance put on by GAC junior-to-be Brooke Lemke when the chips were down for the GAC Gold team.  She single-handedly helped propel the GAC Gold team back into the thick of things by the end of the third period and trailed 39-31 early on in the fourth period and drew even closer trailing 39-34 with 6:50 left.  Junior-to-be Taylor Anderson drained a "3" shortly thereafter that cut the deficit down to two points with 6:42 left and then the aforementioned Lemke simply took over down the stretch as one three-point bomb with 5:55 left pushed the GAC Gold team out in front at 40-39 and a Lemke steal and lay-up the other way made it a 42-39 game.  Lemke would follow that up with yet another "3" a short time later for a 45-39 lead and a shell-shocked Retirees team could never recover as the GAC Gold team stole an unlikely victory after they found themselves way down.  No such drama on Court 2 as the UST #2 team; doing double-duty on this night, held a 13-12 lead midway through the first period on the UW-River Falls #2 team and were still involved in a tight battle up 19-17 by the end of the first period.  But the UST #2 team methodically built its lead up once the second period got underway, getting a 23-17 edge midway through the second period and stretching the lead to eight at 43-31 by the halftime break.  The UW-River Falls #2 team was able to slim the deficit down to six points at 47-41 midway through the third period but they never could get closer as the UST #2 team had the lead back up to thirteen points at 56-43 by the start of the fourth period and things were pretty much academic after that.  Meanwhile in the back gym, the Lady Hawks team; a group comprised mainly of junior college players from various programs, got out to a 10-3 lead on the Hamline team midway through the first period but the Hamline team was able to close the gap to one point at 14-13 midway through the second period.  Still, the Lady Hawks team; relying on its quickness and athleticism, was able to get the lead out to five points at 23-18 by the halftime break.  The Hamline team would manage to get back to within a single possession trailing 24-21 midway through the third period and finally took the lead late in the fourth period at 36-35.  The Lady Hawks team had several opportunities in the final moments but managed to squander each opportunity and two free throws in the waning moments by sophomore-to-be Kaeli Stayer helped seal the deal for the Hamline team.

Three games as well in the equally-busy 8:40 P.M. slot.  On Court 1, the NIACC team; getting some much needed help from others as they were short-handed on this night, held a 9-7 lead on the Concordia St. Paul team and things were deadlocked at 12-all once the second period got underway. The NIACC team was able to get a 32-26 lead by the halftime break but the Concordia St. Paul team clawed back to within a point trailing 32-31 in the early moments of the third period.  Riding the momentum, the Concordia St. Paul team was able to get a 44-39 by the start of the fourth period but the NIACC team was far from finished.  They managed to tie the contest early in the fourth period on a 5-0 push and a 4-0 spurt suddenly pushed the NIACC team out in front 48-44 late in regulation.  But former Park Center standout and newcomer Danielle Schaub helped the Concordia St. Paul team force overtime with her jumper with scant seconds left.  In the first overtime period, newcomer Elle Gess' "3" had the Concordia St. Paul team up 51-48 but the NIACC team was able to answer with a "3" of its own to force a second overtime.  In the second overtime, the NIACC team got one score that put them over the top for the win in what was arguably the game of the night.  On Court 2, a much-anticipated bruising battle was taking place between the UST Alumni team and the B Ballers team; a squad comprised of mostly former Southwest Minnesota State players and both of these teams had pretty much run roughshod over the rest of the teams in this summer league.  Things looked good early on for the UST Alumni team and a pretty drive and finish by Jaya Perkins had the UST Alumni team up 16-8 by the end of the first period.  But the B Ballers team slowly chipped away at the deficit and found themselves down by just one at the halftime break by a 22-21 count.  The B Ballers team seized the momentum once the third period got underway and they held a 33-26 lead at the start of the fourth period.  The UST Alumni team had considerable difficulty battling the big front line of the B Ballers team and the B Ballers team had a 43-29 lead midway through the fourth period as they got a somewhat surprising double-digit victory.  Meanwhile in the back gym, a uniformly bizarre contest was taking place between the said Lady Hawks team and the St. Kate's team.  Whether the Lady Hawks team was recovering from their previous contest or having a letdown of massive proportions is unknown but the St. Kate's team blasted out to a 21-0 lead before the Lady Hawks team knew what hit them.  But the Lady Hawks team somehow recovered from this early massacre and went on 26-3 tear of their own as they held a 26-24 lead by the halftime break.  The St. Kate's team managed to collect itself and regained the lead in the third period and held what appeared to be a seemingly safe 51-43 lead late in regulation.  But this never-say-die Lady Hawks team quickly closed to within a single possession trailing 51-48 with :14 left and a missed free throw attempt by the St. Kate's team opened the door for more heroics and a "3" by the Lady Hawks team with time running down forced an extra session.  The St. Kate's team; thanks to senior-to-be Alexis Garcia's lay-up and two free throws in the extra session, helped them escape with a wild victory.
